Foster Application

Membership dues are due the 1st of Jan of each year. If you are approved to foster and as long as you foster 10 mos out of each year you will not be expected to pay yearly dues.

Thank you for deciding to become a foster home for our abused/abandoned and neglected dachshunds. In order for an organization to grow it must have foster homes. We need people not only to foster but  willing to pull dogs from shelters, pick up owner surrenders, transport and do home visits. We also need members willing to work at events to represent AADR, work applications for adopters or new foster/members or help with fundraising. If you are interested in making a difference, please fill out the following application. This could be the most rewarding thing you ever do.

Please be advised that our organization has a $25.00 yearly membership fee that is due upon acceptance into our group and is due the 1st of each January(unless you foster 10 mos out of the year) there after. The dues go directly to vetting the dachshunds that come into our organization many of which require more than just standard vetting.  (Please note, active foster homes are exempted from member dues!)

Please understand we try our best to get your application worked in a timely manner but being all volunteer based it could take up to 30 days from start to finish to get you approved to foster for AADR.

Please note that as a potential foster home, we do have certain requirements for all of your current animals:

1)  All current dogs must be on heart worm preventative.

2)  All current dogs must be spayed/neutered.

3)  Current on immunizations.

These are all verified as part of the veterinarian check that will be conducted.  There are unique circumstances that may allow for very limited exceptions to this, however, they are very rare.  As a rescue organization, these are commitments we expect from our potential adopters, it is only fitting that we as members/fosters honor these same commitments.

Thank you from the bottom or our hearts and the dachshunds
